About Oskar Pinto Lobo
1913: Born in Goa.
1932-1943: He had an important role in humorous newspapers and children's magazines, of which we can highlight Semper Fixe and O Senhor Doutor, with the Adventures of Tom Migas and his Cavalo Caralinda, and the adaptations of Bucha e Estica. He was the graphic director of the SNI and technical consultant for the Costa do Sol Tourism Board. He developed much of his activity as a designer and illustrator, with a notable presence in the publications of the Junta and in the Portugal País de Turismo yearbooks, where he shared the artistic collaboration with Manoel Lapa. Oskar has given a face to Portuguese tourist advertising for more than a decade with his energetic suns, a source of life … and foreign exchange.
50's: He illustrated pictorial and warm solar disks in the numerous publications that throughout the 50's and 60's sold the statistical 250 days of sunshine a year to foreigners eager for light and heat.
1995: Death in Lisbon.
