1940:  Born in Porto. Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon. In parallel with his teaching practice, he develops his author's work in numerous group exhibitions and
individual.

1976: Leaves for Paris with a scholarship from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. In Paris, he exhibited at the Calouste Gulbenkian Cultural Center and at the Documenta Gallery in 1976 and 1977, having also competed and was represented in the “Realités Nouvelles” and “Grand et Jeune D'Aujourd'hui” Salons. Works for France's national collections are acquired.

1978: Returns to Portugal, developing great activity in the Visual Arts. He is represented in several Museums and Public Institutions.  He is an Honorary Member of the European Academy of Fine Arts.
