About Cohen Fuse
A multifaceted and versatile artist, he worked on all types of media such as jewelry design, fresco and tile mural painting, sculpture, dance and theater costume design, easel painting, etc.

1944 : Luis Cohen Fusé was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, into a family of European roots. From an early age, he felt a great interest in drawing and a great fascination for the Oriente , which led him to study ceramics and fine arts at Escola de Belas Artes_cc781905-5cde- 3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ de Mar del Plata , seaside town 400km away. of the Argentine capital where he spent his childhood and youth.
1963: From this year onwards, he participates in numerous individual and collective exhibitions in Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Belgium, USA, Spain and Portugal. It also has an extensive tile work spread all over the world and mural painting.
1973: Graduates in architecture at the Universidad Nacional de Buenos Aires and alternates his studies with his work as an artist and figure and scenography designer for various dance and theater companies. He made an end-of-career trip to Europe and decides to settle in Barcelona , where he chooses his full dedication to his artistic work at the expense of architecture. There, he studied engraving and lithography at Escola de Belas Artes and interacted with the great Spanish painters of the time. He met a Salvador Dalí , from whom he received valuable advice that marked him in his professional career.
1976: Adopts dual Spanish-Argentine nationality.
1980 : In this decade he installs his studio at Madrid .
1982 : He is invited to come to Portugal and falls in love with the light and colors of Estoril, where he lived since then until his death in July 2019.
1988: Signs a contract with Vorpal Gallery and has exhibitions in the USA, especially in New York and San Francisco and also no Canada .
2019: Death on the 4th of July, in Estoril, Portugal.

2003 : Palácio da Ajuda , em Lisbon (he was the first foreign artist to be invited to exhibit there): “A look at the Palace”, which represents his reinterpretation of interior and exterior spaces (Garden Botanical) of the Palace;

2015: Museu do Oriente de Lisboa “Namban: Retrospective”, with the exhibition of more than 40 works.
