Born in Lisbon in 1953, she studied Photography and Audiovisuals at Ar.Co where she was a teacher.

 

She took the Painting Theory and Practice Course with the painter Filipe Rocha da Silva. She has been painting and exhibiting regularly since 1981, having obtained a grant from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in 1998 for the “Painting” project based on books by writer Javier Marías.

 

In her work, the intersection of Painting and Drawing with explicit references to Literature and Cinema provides clues for decoding and reading his paintings.

 

Founder of MAPA – Cultural Association, presides over its Board of Directors.
